Job Type: Full Time, On Site (Franklin, TN)

We are hiring a Lead HVAC Service Technician for C&M Heating and Cooling, which has served Middle Tennessee for over 50 years. You'll handle diagnosis, repair, and installation on residential, commercial, and industrial equipment, lead on the service side, and eventually train an apprentice.

Geothermal experience is a huge plus.

Pay is based on what you bring. You'll agree on a starting rate, review it after a 2 to 3 week evaluation, and C&M aims to get you where you want to be within 90 days.

On-call pay makes a real difference at C&M. Techs on the weekend on-call rotation have earned $500+ during a single rotation, on top of their hourly rate.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of HVAC service experience (10 years preferred).
Geothermal experience strongly preferred.
EPA certification.
NATE certification.
Strong diagnosis, repair, and installation skills.
Interest in a lead tech role and willingness to train an apprentice.
Experience with advanced HVAC testing and repair tools.
Ability to complete retrofit change-outs and leave the work area clean.
Ability to read and understand service manuals.
Strong communication skills in person, by phone, and through digital programs.
Willingness to attend training seminars and classes.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair, and install residential, commercial, and industrial HVAC equipment.
Service geothermal systems.
Perform preventative maintenance at customer locations.
Complete site surveys, modifications, and repairs on commercial and industrial equipment.
Train and mentor an apprentice as the team grows.
Explain work performed to customers and management.
Turn in required reports on time.
Represent the company professionally on every call.

Schedule requirements

Participate in a weekend on-call rotation.
Respond to emergency calls, including after hours and weekends.

Physical demands

Ability to work outdoors in all conditions.
Ability to work from a 32' extension ladder and a 12' step ladder.

This is an on site position in Franklin, TN.

Compensation: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
